Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why choose Melinda's School of Dance?
A: Class placement - Our students are placed in classes based on
both age and
ability level. We also insure that music and costuming are age
appropriate.
A: Instruction - Our teachers keep current with all of the latest
dance styles and teaching methods available. Our teachers have
many years of dancing and teaching experience.
A: Great Recitals - We have a recital at the end of the year.
It is a showcase of our hard work throughout the year. And we love
to show it off.
Q: What is your winter weather policy.
A: When it comes to cancelling class due to the weather please listen to
KHBT 97.7 FM for updates or call us when in doubt (515) 332 5117. We
will not call every student to notify cancellations and we will not
necessarily follow the school closings due to the fact that the weather
can change a lot from 7 am to 4:30 pm and roads can be cleared. Please
always do what you feel is safest for your family. If you don't feel
safe driving in certain conditions, we understand. We have extra classes
added to our schedule. If more classes are cancelled than what is
alloted, we will make them up.
Q: I've lost my shoes! What do I do?
A: Please label all dance shoes with your child's name. Should your
child's shoes be left at the studio or mixed with another dancer's
shoes, we can return them to you. A tote bag keeps belongings together
and portable. A cover-up should be worn to and from class as this shows
proper dance training. Wear dance shoes only indoors to keep them clean
and in good shape.
