Melinda

Melinda has owned and operated MELINDA'S SCHOOL OF DANCE for 24 years.  Melinda is a graduate of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters.  She is  a member of the Wisconsin Dance Masters.  She is also on the Board of Directors for the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association.  In addition to her busy schedule , Melinda has choreographed many musicals, teaches dance workshops, choreographs and directs the dancers with the Humboldt Community Chorus, and judges dance competitions.  Melinda is an award winning choreographer whose professional training and dedication to dance are recognized throughout the dance community.  Many of her students have kept dancing long after leaving the studio.  She has trained intensively with Tommy Sutton, the award winning pioneer of tap dancing.  She loves working with children and looks forward to working with the Humboldt Kindergarten each year on their reading program.

Cal

  Cal has been teaching tumbling for MELINDA'S SCHOOL OF DANCE for 20 years.  He started the POWER COMPANY TUMBLING TEAM in 1992.  In 1992 he also received his safety certification with the USGF.  Cal and Melinda are members of the Amateur Athletic Union  as well as the United States Trampoline and Tumbling Association.  Cal is also a safety certified member of the USTA.  Several members of the Power Company have won many state and national titles.
